What is the difference between a "Bargain Fare" and an "Available Published Fare"? |
| |
PlaneAir has access to wholesale (consolidator fares) which are lower than the published prices that airlines or travel agents sell. These are shown as "Bargain Fare" and are often for the same flights that are shown under the "Available Published Fare". |
|
What
are e-tickets and why should I use
them? |
| |
Electronic tickets, or e-tickets
are now offered by many major
airlines. They allow you to travel
without a paper ticket, eliminating
the worry of leaving your tickets
behind. An e-ticket confirms your
airline ticket purchase without
requiring a paper record; the only
record of an e-ticket sale is in
electronic form in the airline's
computer system. When purchasing
tickets through this website,
you will receive a confirmation of
your flight purchase via e-mail. |
| |
How
do I use an e-ticket? |
| |
When
you check in for your flight, give
the ticket agent your name, flight
number and government issued photo
ID - driver's license, passport or
state identification card. For your protection, some
airlines also require that you show
the credit card used to purchase
your ticket. When you use e-tickets,
you may or may not be able to check
luggage at the curb. |
| |
How
will my airline tickets be
delivered? |
| |
If an E-ticket is available for your flight you will be sent an e-mail that includes your itinerary information and confirmation number. When you check in for your flight all you will need to show the airline is a government-issued photo ID and advise them of your flight number. If the e-ticket option is not available for your flight you will be sent a confirmation message via e-mail and your paper airline ticket (s)
will be mailed directly to you. |
| |
Is
my credit card number safe? |
| |
Planeair uses the Secure
Sockets Layer which encodes your personal
information such as address, phone number
and credit card number. |
| |
Do you verify credit card
information? |
| |
Before any tickets can be processed, we verify that the credit card billing address matches the address provided and that the credit card is a valid card.
In addition, other security measures
are used before final ticket processing and
any fraud attempt is promptly
reported to federal law enforcement
agencies. |
| |
What
is the PlaneAir cancellation, change
& refund policy? |
| |
Tickets are non-refundable at time of purchase. Changes & Exchanges may be permitted with an additional fee for certain tickets. |
| |
What
happens if my flight is cancelled? |
| |
In the event your flight is cancelled,
please contact the airline directly. |
| |
Can
ticket purchases be delivered
outside of the U.S.? |
| |
No. All tickets purchased online through PlaneAir require a U.S. address.
Post office boxes will not be
accepted. |
| |
Will I need a
passport and Visa to travel outside
the U.S.? |
| |
It is
important that you know your
passport, visa, and health
requirements. As travel
requirements vary by country, we
recommend that you contact the
embassies of the countries you are
visiting well in advance of your
travel dates, in order to ensure
time enough to secure all necessary
documents. |
| |
Can
I request seat assignments or enter
my Frequent Flyer Number when
making a reservation? |
| |
You may request a seating preference, a meal type and include your frequent flyer number in the comments field. However, if the flight is full your seat request may not be available. |
| |
Can
I use travel vouchers, certificates
or frequent flyer miles to purchase
through PlaneAir? |
| |
No. Airlines typically require that ticket purchases using either frequent flier miles or travel vouchers be handled directly
with them. The same is true of vouchers issued by a variety of travel clubs. You will need to contact them directly to purchase your ticket. |
| |
How
will I know my reservation is
confirmed? |
| |
We will send you an email confirming
your reservation within 1 business day.
This email will include your complete
itinerary and quoted price. |
| |
Is
there a service charge for
purchasing airline tickets though
PlaneAir? |
| |
Yes. This
service charge per ticket covers processing and shipping if necessary. |
| |
How
can I check my reservation made with
PlaneAir? |
| |
To check your existing reservation, go to www.viewtrip.com.
You
will need to enter your last name
and the 6-digit reservation
number
which was sent to you in your flight
confirmation e-mail. |
| |
What
happens if I lost my Internet
connection while making a
reservation? |
| |
If you did not receive a
confirmation screen before you were
disconnected, then your reservation was
most likely not completed. If your booking was
completed successfully, you will
receive a confirmation e-mail from PlaneAir confirming
your reservation. If you
did not receive a confirmation email, please begin the
the booking process from the itinerary screen. |
